About Us

To understand what MGB Racing is you have to understand it's owner Mark G Batres jr. He started road racing at the age of eight years old. By the age of ten he was a National team champions member for the Valley Striders. He went to high school in California for Don Bosco Tech where in 1999 they achieved a state championship for cross country. He then went to Cal Poly Pomona where he become a five time div 2 all American. He then went on to run personal best of 2:19:07 in the marathon, 29:25 in the 10K, 14:27 in the 5k and a 9:03 steeple chase.

With all of this knowledge gathered throughout the years, Mark thought it would be a great idea to give this knowledge to other people who wanted to know more about running. The major void he observed in the industry of coaching was the fact that most coaching programs have the major goal of getting you to the finish line. Here at MGB Racing we're not trying to get you to the finish line. We're trying to get you there with a new personal record. We're trying to qualify you for the Boston marathon. We're trying to make you as fast as you can be, we hold no punches and push you to your limit.
